The Sabs on the Via de la Plata

 Finisterre to Muxia  What beautiful coastal towns!  Finisterre is called the End of the World which comes from the time when people thought  the world was flat! 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️   Muxia was my favorite!  Beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean., lighthouse, church and a huge sculpture.  

 Ponte Ulla to Santiago  Started off early in cold and cloudy conditions, but it was a nice walk.  Stopped at a cafe and when we left it was raining 😩☔️  It rained on and off all the way to Santiago.  So, our pics aren’t very good bc we are wet, cold and tired.  Got our pilgrim certificate and checked into our hotel.  Then we went to celebrate with a nice lunch…octopus, fried cheese with veggies and wine.  We saw a couple of pilgrims we know, but not many 🤷🏻‍♀️  We have met a lot of pilgrims, but either they went home and didn’t finish or they are in front or behind us on the trail 😩  Tomorrow we’ll be visiting a couple of coastal towns which pilgrims usually walk to, but we don’t have the time, so we’re taking a bus 🤷🏻‍♀️

 Lalin to Ponte Ulla It rained all night, so we knew it would be a wet and muddy day. 🤷🏻‍♀️☔️  But it wasn’t too bad…it did rain lightly for most of our walk.  Galicia is so green, it reminds me of a rain forest.  It’s been an extra rainy season, so everything is growing!  We are seeing new pilgrims on the trail, so we are guessing they are from the Portuguese Camino…the Sanabria Way and the Portuguese Camino joined a couple of miles back.  Everyone on today’s trail should be walking into Santiago tomorrow, so it’ll be a special day. 😃  

 Cea to Lalin Well, it’s almost over…we walk into Santiago on Sunday which is Mother’s Day!  It rained all night, so we knew there would be mud 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it wasn’t too bad.  It was a nice walk through towns and farmland.  It didn’t rain until we reached our destination then it poured ☔️🤷🏻‍♀️  We had a nice lunch then washed clothes.  It is raining on and off, so we are staying in our warm hotel room…yes, we have heat!! 🎉  Going to see this little town in a few.  Tomorrow will be another long rainy day. 🤷🏻‍♀️
