VdlP Sanabria Way Day 30

 Olleros de Tera to Entrepensa

We got a late start today 😩 but it is sunny with no signs of rain…yet!  We have met several locals on the trail, some were looking for wild asparagus 😮  They told us wild asparagus is the best, so now Dave and I look for it when we get bored…it’s become a goal to find a least one stalk before we finish this Camino 🤣  Spain grows white asparagus, they have to cover it out in the fields, so the sun doesn’t turn it green.  It’s a lot of work but I prefer the green.  Other locals look for spices like thyme, it’s also fun to speak to them and I think they enjoy the unexpected conversation.  In many towns we noticed that Spaniards place water bottles by the front door, so  I asked about it.  (See pic) The lady told me many locals believe it prevents dogs and cats from peeing on the doorstep 🤣 but she wasn’t all that convinced. 😬  We occasionally walk passed a big pile of rocks, so yesterday we found one of those rocks on the road and saw that it wasn’t a rock but a potato, so we put it in our backpack for later.  (See pic) I wish we knew half of the crops we see daily 🤔  Spaniards are very active, they walk everywhere and we always see outdoor exercise equipment in all the towns we walk through even the tiniest towns (see pic)  This town has no food (again) so the lady who owns this hotel will be making our dinner tonight 🙏🏼 so now we just have to worry about coffee and breakfast.  Another pilgrim staying here said there wasn’t any food in the next town either 😩🤷🏻‍♀️  We do have a half a bag of peanuts leftover 😳🤷🏻‍♀️
