VdlP Sanabria Way Day 35

 Laza to Xunqieira de Ambia

Sun was out this morning when we left our hotel, but it quickly turned cold and cloudy as we walked up the mountain 😩  But at least it didn’t rain ☔️ Galicia is a beautiful area of Spain and the people are so friendly and kind!  Getting into a different menu of food and it’s delicious.  Most of the Camino we had chicken, pork or beef, but in Galicia…it’s Galician soup, octopus, seafood salad…too many to name!  Our walk today was just beautiful, I can’t believe it’s almost over!   Lots of uphill and downhill today, but the weather was nice.  We came across two large areas of standing water and we couldn’t go around them, so we walked through them 😩 The water was up passed our ankles and our shoes were soaked.  So, when we arrived at our Casa Rural, we washed our shoes and put them on the windowsill.  Then went out for lunch…lunch is served between 2-3:30 and if you miss it you will have wait until 8pm to eat 😩  So, every pilgrim on the Camino never wants to miss lunchtime!  Our Casa Rural is very nice and comfy, but there is no heat control so that means we’ll be freezing tonight πŸ₯Ά  Tomorrow we walk to Orense and have our last rest day!  We are meeting up with some of our Camino friends for the last time πŸ₯²
